Silver Art Collector Website
The Silver Art Collector web site is a comprehensive collection of Silver Art Bars that have been around for years. The site itself has an Item database, a Historical database, and a mini store for specific collector items.
The item Database allows a person to search for a specific bar by Name, Reference Number or Mint. Once your request is located, a quick click reveals the specifics of the bar such as: Year, Weight, Mintage, Reverse Type, Country of Manufacture and a picture of the front and reverse of the bar. There is no pricing or value numbers assigned.
Most of the reference numbers are from the International Association of Silver Art Collectors Group – IASAC, which was authored by Archie Kidd around 2007 and 2008. The guides show pictures of the bars and in some cases the known history of the mint that may have produced them. Mr. Kidd was assisted by many Silver Art Collectors to numerous to mention in this post, but can be found in the Guides themselves. There were two final guides produced – a fifth edition and a sixth edition which was an extension of the fifth one. The introduction in each volume shows detailed history, nomenclature.
The Silver Art Collector Group has incorporated this historical information with new pictures and now assigns reference numbers to all newer bars which are being produced, thus capturing the entire hobby in one place. It is a great go to place to do any research regarding the popular hobby. They have issued the new 7th edition which can be purchased online.
The group also supports a closed group Facebook page, which has open forums that allows members to ask questions or even showcase recent finds and additions to individual collections.
Many Art bars can be found at Captains Coins. They are listed by the mint of you can search by name. Here are some on the current listings.

I’ve seen them, I’ve bid on one of the 1oz versions that he had, and lost because I got distracted. Krackle bar I believe. I’ve since writing that last year, found out they were produced by Trinity Mint. I’ve also Acquired a complete set of proofs in 1 oz, they apparently produced 3 versions, with serial numbers, without serial numbers, and enameled. For the life of me, I still can’t find anything more. When I learned the name, I thought I’d finely be successful at finding more info, I was mistaken thinking that, it’s like they never existed. The one gram bars Fritz sells are manufactured in Europe somewhere. He’s tight lipped about who’s actually producing them. I appreciate your reaching out, I wouldn’t have seen this, if I wasn’t constantly searching. Now knowing Trinity Mint, of you hear of anything keep me in mind. If anyone reading this has any insight, I’d be grateful to hear from you. Gucc.const@gmail.com email me using Trinity Mint so I don’t miss it. Thanks again!
